Reclaimed Fabric, Thread, and Buttons | 9 x 7 in.

This piece is a non-traditional artist book that I made for my Making Artist Books class. For this assignment, we were asked to make a book using alternative book making materials. I chose to make a book with a hand-made stuffed teddy bear as its base and to act as its back cover. The book aspect is the small heart-shaped book sewn where the bear's heart would be. Within the pages of the book, embroidery tells a small visual story across five pages.
